Where are your guest rooms located?

Rooms are on the second and third floors of the mansion, accessible by a staircase. The cottages are one-story.

Do the guest rooms each have a private bath located within the room?

All of our rooms have private baths in their room with doors used only by you. Believe me, you want to ask this question! Some inns think private means when you shut the door it is yours, but you will share it.

Will my room have air conditioning?

There is central A/C with separate zones for each guest room. Most guest rooms also have gas fireplaces.

How many comfortable chairs are in the room?

At least two (some more) cozy chairs are provided in each guest room.

Is the inn inspected by the Health Dept.? Member of state association?

Yes, we are inspected by the Health Dept., and yes, we are a proud member of the Bed and Breakfasts Inns of Missouri (BBIM).

Do the owners live in the same building?

Yes, the owners live in their private quarters in the mansion.

Is there off-street parking?

Yes, there is plenty of free, paved, off-street parking.

Is smoking allowed?

Smoking is not allowed inside. The mansion, rooms, cottages, and dining area are all smoke-free environments. There are designated smoking areas outside.

What time is breakfast?

Breakfast is served between 8:30 and 9:30. We are flexible when alerted in advance. If you are here for business or a wedding, please check with us to see if we are able to accommodate your request. We will certainly do our best to make you happy.

Is breakfast in the same building?

Yes, it is for the mansion rooms. The Woodside cottages must walk to the mansion for breakfast, but the Dowager Cottage has breakfast delivered.

Is there complimentary high-speed internet access?

We have wireless high-speed fiber over the entire property with a great signal to each room and cottage.

Are there gift shop items for sale?

We have lots. Say thanks to your friends for giving you that gift certificate with a hand-thrown Garth mug.

Do you offer other services?

Extra blankets and pillows, iron, custom soaps, shampoo, and even toothbrushes, extra towels, you name it...if it's not in the room already, just ask!
